The RichAuto A14 is a three-axis DSP controller for machines that coordinate motion with dispensing or glue-control functions. It is a relevant option when the machine needs XYZ movement, one or more dispensing guns, controlled glue shut-off and an operator workflow that can include manual teaching. It should not be selected solely because another controller is also described as three-axis.
Start with the Dispensing Process
The first decision is the process the machine must control. A dispensing machine can have different gun counts, valve arrangements, solenoids and timing requirements. The A14 product information describes multi-gun control and glue shut-off ahead of stop points, but the installed machine still determines how those functions must be wired and configured.
Record the material application, number of guns, each valve or solenoid function, and the sequence that must occur when the machine starts, moves, pauses and stops. This identifies whether the required dispensing behavior matches the machine rather than only the controller label.
Check Motion, Teaching and Machine Signals
The A14 is designed around three-axis dispensing motion. Confirm the actual X, Y and Z arrangement, drive type and control signal before selecting it. If the machine requires four-axis rotary work, an automatic tool changer, plasma cutting or a PC-network control system, evaluate a controller intended for that architecture instead.
Manual teaching can be useful when an operator needs to move the machine with direction keys or enter coordinates directly. Confirm how the existing workflow records paths and whether the new configuration must retain any machine-specific parameters.
Prepare the Interface Review
For a replacement or retrofit, treat the controller, interface board and cabinet wiring as one system. Before disconnecting the existing controller, photograph the controller label, interface board, terminal labels, drive connections and dispensing hardware. Include the number of guns, the valve or solenoid functions, the required I/O and the existing power arrangement.
A similar-looking controller or matching axis count does not prove that the dispensing I/O, signal arrangement or wiring can be reused. CINKR can review the supplied machine details before quotation.
When the A14 Is a Good Fit
Choose the A14 when dispensing or glue control is central to a three-axis machine and the controller needs to coordinate motion with the relevant gun and shut-off workflow. Consider another platform when the process is primarily conventional routing, tool-changing, plasma cutting or networked production control.
